DEN + Wilkes = 4ME!

So today I finally got on the ball and registered for my two classes through Wilkes in the fall… Digital Storytelling and Digital Media in the Classroom. I’m super excited to be in this program. I’ve been struggling for years with what direction to go for Graduate studies. When I heard about this, I had no doubt. I knew I had to grab the opportunity. ROCK ON! I’ll keep this blog updated when the fun begins…

Thanks for the video, Justin!

More from DEN Institute…

Okay… I’m so psyched right now that I got my Glogster onto Blogger… But besides that… What an INCREDIBLE week at the DEN INSTITUTE. I learned so many cool things, and the breakout sessions were awesome. I must say it was an unforgettable experience. I had the opportunity to listen to and meet Hall Davidson. He was entertaining and informative with his keynote, and he showed us the “floating head” for Google Earth~ Thanks Hall!
Wednesday night we went on a tour of D.C. and the monuments. We pretty much beat the rain, and had a great time!
Thursday was spent working on our ‘project’ for the week… which we titled “Back Your Candidate” My group consisted of Adam, Mark and Jan. We had a blast brainstorming and creating. Teamwork definitely paid off! We also got to go GEOCACHING with our own Bridget Belardi (PA DEN) What excitement looking for the caches! Geocaching is the sport where you are the search engine. It’s like treasure hunting that requires a GPS unit to find a cache. We all signed up for accounts at www.geocaching.com and headed off to locate our cache. Thanks for a wonderful experience Bridget!
Carnival night rocked… Unfortunately, Lance read my fortune wrong :( But what an exciting evening! Den-go, Games, Wii, hotdogs, cotton candy… the carnival had taken over One Discovery! And… lucky me, I won a vintage SHARK WEEK tee! Thanks DEN! Check out the slideshow of pics from this AMAZING week!
