Tracy,

Thanks for the kind remarks. We had a great time doing the webinar, as well as "conversing" with all the participants and listening to some neat ideas.

If you are attending NECC, we hope to see you at our session/presentation. Keep your eye out for some of our (already) published and forthcoming articles and books. :-)

Thanks again!

I love these podcasts. Although the Traveling Avatar series has ended I believe his Second Life podcasts are still up there. Check them out if you want some inside tips to SL (tm).

I work in a "mixed-bag" district. Google apps are open, but if you create your own personal webpage you have to ask to get it unblocked. Twitter is blocked, but Twitbin and Thwirl and others are not. I can't allow kids to use certain social networking sites because of problems with profanity, but music videos are allowed...uncensored.

75% of our incoming 6th graders already have a MySpace page (I polled them). That one, of course, is blocked.

What if we lived in a world where we believed we could teach children responsible use? Where no educational website is left behind? I would love it!

Terrible poetry...but great philosophy. I am very blessed to work in a district that thinks this way--kills me to go elsewhere to present, only to have wikipedia and google apps blocked.

WOW! What a great district. Sounds like they actually treat their teachers as professionals and trust them to educate the children. Sending a link to this post to my colleagues!

Thanks Tracy
