A New Beginning
In the last twenty four hours, I have gone from feeling like my hands were tied to being released to an unknown world within technology. I have started this blog as well as a wiki (success4all@wikispaces.com). I first felt empowerment and now I feel the pressure of getting everything uploaded and linked. I ask for patience as I learn through trial and error, supportive plurks and twits and youtube tutorials. If you have any suggestions for improvements, please let me know because I feel like a fish out of water flopping on a pier.
My goal with both of these spaces is to provide a service to educators and also learn more about myself and the resources available for all students to be successful. My core belief is that all students can learn, but need to be provided the opportunities to be successful based on their own learning styles. I have personally witnessed the success of many students when technology is in place to assist in them communicating their ideas and having ideas communicated to them.
Today’s focus is to flop back off the pier into the safe harbor of the water in the world of technology.

Your a natural! I am so glad that I get to work with you on a daily basis! Welcome to the DEN! You will find this a VERY supportive, imaginative and cohesive group. Keep up with your wikispace, it’s a great start, I am jealous, you just passed me up in that department. LOL

Congratulations Val on a nice start. I wish you luck on finding the time to blog better than I have as time is precious. I look forward to following the development of your blog over time to see how things develop. Great template!
You are off to a great start!
I just started a blog a few weeks ago. I can relate to the pressures of being ‘published’. Although it can be a bit scary, I find writing for a global audience takes my writing to the next level.
Enjoy the ride.

Thank you for all the words of encouragement. I am truly exploring a new arena for me and loving it!
Val, I encourage you to discipline yourself to keep writing. You are a gifted educator and at an early stage of your career recognized for your hard work, enthusiasm and creativity. As I read others who have been blogging for a while and are disciplined at posting on a regular basis, I am impressed at the level of global collaboration they have developed with not only other educators but with other professionals. It is taking those ideas and applying them into your daily work and expanding.
