Help Judge Media Projects for Fellow DEN Member

Below is a message from Texas STAR DEN member Elaine Plybon. It would be great if you can help out.

Invitation to Online JudgingMedia FairMy school district has a Media Fair every year. This year, they are opening the judging to anyone with an internet connection and an interest in technology in education. My first thought was of my fellow DEN members, so here’s the request — Won’t you consider spending a little bit of your time judging a few of the entries? There are several different categories and the levels range from K through 12, so there is sure to be something of interest to you there! Also, please feel free to forward the request to other education professionals you think may be interested in helping with the judging. Click below for full details. Help a Fellow DEN Member Carry the Olympic Torch

A very exciting opportunity has come up for one of our DEN members. She is in a contest to be a torch bearer at the Olympics based on activities she is doing in her classroom! How wonderful if she won and was able to represent all of us there! Please take a moment to click on the following link and then click on LINDA BILAK (NY) if all of us voted today we could push her up to 1st place :)

For more information on Linda, check out the New York Blog. Click here to vote for Lind. Good Luck!!

VA STAR Spotlight

I hope this blog post finds everyone well and not going to crazy with end of year stuff. I wanted to give kudos to VA STAR DEN Member Paula White.  Paula is a gifted resource teacher at Crozet Elementary school in Albemarle County.  Paula was the recipient of the Red Apple Award. The award goes to an educator who excites interest in technology among students and is given by the Charlottesville region’s technology and entrepreneurship advocacy group.

Congratulations Paula!
