Calling all bloggers.
- Several months ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to join in a Blogging Challenge sponsored by Ms. Wyatt and Ms. Waters. As with many things that I do, I jumped in head first. By that I mean my kids had not gotten their laptops and I was entering a Blogging Challenge. How crazy is that? Oh well, I tried. What I did end up doing was creating a class blogpage that I have attempted to use for journal posting and commenting. I say attempted because I have lots of posts and only a handful of responses. I still have much work to do on the blogpage, but this time last year I did not have one. It currently houses: Tweets, journal/blogging topics, writing tips and variety of other things.
- I decided to take smaller steps, so I developed a Ning, a private sharing community. We have used it as a place to post and comment. I post discussion forum topics and the class responds to my topics and they comment on other students’ posts. I hope that we are ready for the real outside world because I am entering my class blog in the next Blogging Challenge to take place in March.
- Ms. Waters has started to prepare us by posting a list of “must haves..” and “should do’s…”
- Week One: Create a Class Blog
- Week Two: Creating rules and guidelines
I am preparing myself and my class to be a part of this year’s Challenge. So I intend to follow along with her schedule.Week One’s assignment is complete. I have a blogpage established. Check out the mention of our blog’s title: Blog, Blog Blog Blog, Blog Some More
“For example, Mrs Burton’s blog title Blog, blog blog blog, blog some more is very clever. ”
Week Two’s assignment is complete (although seeing the work that has been done lately, we need to revisit)
I am ready for next week’s assignment. I hope :)For those of you who are unfamiliar with the challenge, here are some of the things that were covered. If you are brave and up for a Class Blogging Challenge, join us.

In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time and I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open mind. This weblog is intended to provide a semi-permanent point in time snapshot and manifestation of the various thoughts, opinions and ideas around my brain. As such, any thoughts and opinions expressed within out-of-date posts may not the same, nor even similar, to those I may hold today.
