A Voice From the Tour Team is Heard

I figure someone should get this blog going so here we are.  For those of you who will be following our adventures I thought it might be helpful to have some basic background info on who we are.  My wife and I are both educators in Orange County, North Carolina (North of Chapel Hill).  I am an associate principal and my wife teaches 4th grade.  We are both experienced cyclist and follow the Tour de France each year divotedly.  We are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to hearing from anyone who might have questions that they would liked answered about France, the Tour de France, or the Discovery Channel Team.  We look forward to posting plenty of pictures and video clips daily for your enjoyment.

Welcome to our Educator Blog. I am thrilled (and a little jealous) that you will soon be on your way to France. I am so pleased to see Discovery recognizing what is RIGHT with education and celebrating teachers. This is the first of many wonderful things to come for teachers who sign up to be part of our network! Congratulations and I look forward to reading your posts!

    Brad –
We are so excited for you. We’ll be checking in and anxious to hear all about it. Bon Voyage!

A note to those of you who don’t know Brad: He is REALLY into the Tour – not just someone who watches the recap on the evening news. He and my husband call each other with updates every day. Discovery couldn’t have found someone who would love this trip more!

What a blessing for you and Laura! This opportunity couldn’t have happened to two more deserving people. I’ll keep you in my daily prayers.
