Weekly Update: March 3, 2006

Happy March, everyone!  It’s almost stand-on-my-porch-and-smoke-a-cigar-while-everyone-else-is-at-work-season!  Aaah, the benefits of working from home.  Here are the updates…

Discovery Educator Network Summer Regional Institute
This summer we are sponsoring five regional institutes all over the country exclusively open to Discovery Educators.  Our institute will take place in Valley Forge, PA from June 25-29.  The application will be open on March 15.

Springdoo is Awesome and Addictive
Scott Kinney posted a blog about Springdoo which allows you to “talk your emails.”  I highly recommend checking it out.

Delaware Instructional Technology Conference
Anyone interested in going to Dover, Delaware on April 5 or 6?  I have two presentations at DITC and would love to have a Discovery Educator join me as a co-presenter.  Send me an email if you are interested.

MovieMaker Training in MD
The Maryland branch of the Discovery Educator Network is hosting a MovieMaker training on Friday, March 10 from 4:00-7:00 PM (Rockville, MD).  If anyone in PA (especially you folks on the borderground) is interested, let me know.

Version 2.3 is Really Here Now
For those of you interested in learning more about the latest upgrades to unitedstreaming, check out the Michigan blog posting.

Phantoms Game Tickets
I ordered a bunch of tickets for the game on March 17 at 7:05 PM.  If you asked me for tickets, I will be sending them via the United States Postal Service.  If you didn’t ask me for tickets, I have some extras.  Just let me know.

If you would like to hear the weekly update read to you by the soothing voice of Lance Rougeux via Springdoo, click on the link below:
