Join me for the next EdTechConnect

It’s just a few days until the next EdTechConnect and in case you haven’t already heard, I’m going to be this months speaker!   If you don’t know what it is, EdTechConnect is a series of live webinars featuring some really prominent people in the field of Education Technology.  In the past few months, the list of presenters has included Hall Davidson, Kathy Schrock and Alan November.  To be hoenst, I’m pretty darn flattered to be able to add my name to a list of people that I have learned so much from through experiences  like this.

The webinar starts  at 5:00pm EST on Wednesday.  The presentation I’ll be doing is a brand new one for me that I’ve been developing for the Connecting and Collaborating Conference.  It’s all about making use the internet enabled devices that most teachers and students have easy access to.  I’ll be showing you how to make the most of the mobile tools that you and your students already own.  Some of the sites may be familiar to you, and others will probably astonish you.  I’ve shared some of my findings with friends and most of them were shocked by what you could accomplish with a mobile phone or portable gaming system.  I think it’ll really make people reflect a bit about their school’s policies regarding mobile devices.

If you want to check it out, you can go to the EdTechConnect page for more info, or just click here to sign up directly

Tell your friends!  Like all EdTechConnect webinars, it’s free!

I wanted to send this to my department but it looks like we missed it. Is it scheduled for April 19? Or did we miss it on March 15?

It’s actually April 19th, so you can still attend. I’ve let them know to get that date changed! Thanks for the heads up.

    HI, Steve,
There is a God and I’ll bet s/he has one of those portable devices. Can hardly wait to go discovering with you. I caught the invite at that 11th hour in which I seem to live my life, so count me in. It will be a Discovery day all around, beginning with a Take Five Pacific Rim videoconference tomorrow at 9 AM with Josh Wolff and one of the series’ producers. My students and I are very excited. So, a day well begun and ended: Discovery just keeps getting better and better. Thanks a bunch, and looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

I was so bummed when I had to cancel attending the Collabrate/Connect conference. Now I can hear the same info here.

The archive should be up by the end of the week. A list of resources has already been posted though if you want to get a jump start and play a bit!
