Interactive Training

Teacher_center Have you checked your status on the DEN site yet? If you haven’t logged into the DEN site yet, you are missing some great new FREE resources.  Because of the National Contest for uploading resources, they are coming in like crazy.  That’s what’s so amazing. All resources are there for you to share!  I know many of you have great presentations, files, documents and other electronic uses of technology in your classroom.  I would really like to encourage you to try to upload one.  It’s not hard to do AND it feels so good to be part of a collaborative team.  The next link is directions for uploading resources in case you need assistance.Download upload_tutorial.pdf

For this Tuesday’s Tips, I would like to take you deeper into the “ubiquitous” world. Ubiquitous1  As teachers in this era, we know how important it is to be a lifelong learner.  This area of unitedstreaming is so wonderful because you can earn inservice credit in your pajamas! Go into the Teacher Center in unitedstreaming and click on Lesson 1: Features and Navigation.   This lesson will help you understand everything you need to know to navigate in unitedstreaming.  Even as a seasoned user, you will encounter areas that you have not experienced yet.

Interactivetraining Every district handles inservice credit differently.  In some district, these lessons have already been approved for 10 points credit, but you must check with your individual districts to see how to handle it.  If you need help with this, I would be glad to assist. I have a great explanation already written up for your district leaders.

If you have already done Lesson 1 OR are planning on doing it in the near future, add a comment to this blog.  I am offering a pen drive this week to the most creative comment.  Just tell us why these “ubiquitous” trainings are so great. Webinarcertificate_1

Have a great week,

As always, I am
Ubiquitously yours,
Karen

This training is a fabulous idea. Having a small child it is so nice to be able to sit down in my comfy chair and begin to work on my own professional development. I love learning and having the flexibility to learn new skills and polish old ones is very exciting. Being able to earn inservice points is a bonus (I would do it without the external reward but it’s nice to get credit too). I can’t wait to finish this series and then begin working on the certification section. These sessions are going to help me become a great presenter and promoter for UnitedStreaming and Discovery. I hope they continue to offer additional courses that challenge and teach us many new skills.

    Good day!

I had trouble finding Lesson One . . . Apparently I need other training. 😉 I did eventually find it under Professional Development (in unitedstreaming). From there, click on Interactive Training. You will see it as the first lesson.

I’ll be back with a review of the training! 🙂
