Wisconsin DEN Grows and Grows

Our Wisconsin DEN takes a GIANT LEAP in Numbers!

April has been a very busy month for everyone and a fun one for me as I have visited many Wisconsin school districts since early April.    Merrill, Rhinelander, Oneida Nation School, Seymour, Appleton East HS, New Berlin, Stevens Point, Verona, Janesville and Racine are all unitedstreaming districts participating in trainings, meetings, and workshops this past month. April 10 at Oneida Nation School (also called "The Turtle SchooL") educators working with Tom Pivovar and Kate Pagel, WI DEN members during an after school workshops.

Oneida Nation Elementary is a wonderful school that cherishes and embraces the Oneida culture and nurtures every child with respect for their heritage.  The building, as seen from above, is in the shape of a turtle which plays a key role in the Oneida Indian folklore.  It was an honor to be invited to their school by Kate and Tom (WI DEN) and Mr. Robert Ganka (Principal).

Our Wisconsin DEN has grown to 165 members — FORTY new DEN members in April!

All WI DEN Members are asked to complete the Zoomerang Survey focused on your interests and input for the planning of Wisconsin DEN Events.  If you have not completed the survey, please do this by May 3 and you will be entered in a raffle for a one GB flash drive.  Your input is important and will be the basis for REGIONAL WISCONSIN events coming up this summer and fall!
