Today, I had the pleasure of accompanying Michigan DEN Field Manager Kristin Furdak and Hall Davidson to the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District located in Muskegon, Michigan. Educators from 12 districts within Muskegon County gathered together to share, network and discuss new ways to integrate digital media into their curriculum.
After Kristin provided a general overview of the day, Hall delivered his usual fantastic keynote on Digital Storytelling and its role in today’s classroom. Afterwards, participants engaged in breakout sessions covering topics such as differentiated instruction, blogs, WIKIs and podcasting.
As promised, I have attached the PowerPoint used during the presentations. Special thanks to Diane Zoellmer, Instructional Technology Coordinator at the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District, for her hard work and dedication in providing this experience for teachers!
