Over 70 educators from the Oklahoma City area representing eight districts gathered for an Evening of Discovery. Participants gathered to feast on catered Bar-B-Q, see some previews of Cosmeo and the new V3 of unitedstreaming, and attended several breakout sessions. Mike King, DEN member and Director of Information Technology at Enid Schools, and his colleagues presented on the SMART lessons – dynamic interactive lessons that include video, animation, Google Earth, sound, and more! You can find several of his lessons already on the Educator Resources on the DEN website. Also, Suzanne Hochenhauer, Instructional Technologist at Oklahoma City Public Schools, helped organize the event (thanks again!) and presented on using editable clips in Microsoft MovieMaker. In addition, I presented on the learning tools and additional features of unitedstreaming. This was a fun evening to officially launch the DEN in Oklahoma.
