UPDATE: Registration is closed! We’ve got all the beta testers we need for this go around!  Thanks for volunteering everybody.

The DEN is looking for a few middle school educators who would like to participate as beta testers for Discovery Education Science Connection. As a beta tester, you would have access to Discovery’s latest classroom resource made especially for science educators. We will need your ideas and suggestions to help make Science Connection the best it can be. If you are interested in participating as a beta tester, please email Matthew Seward with your name, school name and address, subject and grades you teach, and phone number. He will be putting a group together in the coming weeks and will contact you with more info if you have been selected.

I almost missed this! Do you know when the release date is? It says Fall 2006 on the website. I posted it on my blog too.

I’m really pleased with this idea! I think it permits all unitedstreaming users to enjoy some benefits of being Discovery Educators, but rewards those that do all the extras to “get the word out”.

This is another exciting tool for us to use in the classroom! Before you know it, we won’t be using anything but Discovery products!

Discovery is my main teaching tool. Being a library Media Specialist for pk-6, I have to hit many subject areas and Discovery is the only way to go. I’m going to talk to my science teachers about this asap.

BTW, the logo you have on this ad for Discovery Science is really awesome! If you haven’t already, you should think about keeping it.

Kudos to the person that put together this design!!!

I was thinking the design was great too. When I taught science I was always looking for a good tool/resource that had easy and understandable to access good science and technology information. DEN you guys keep stepping up to the plate. Congratulations!

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for so many responses to my request for assistance with beta testing of the Discovery Education Science Connection tool.

I’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response from DEN members all over the country. It’s awesome to have so many people willing to get involved. We have enough people who’ve expressed an interest in helping us test to get started.

If we need more DEN members to assist, I’ll work with Steve to put out the call!

Discovery Education Science Connection will be an online resource that combines inquiry based learning with formative assessment tools. It is geared primarily towards middle school educators and students. It’ll definitely be cool.
