Be sure to visit Bernajean’s web site and view the Storykeeper’s Gallery.  My favorite is a story with a message for all of us by Bernajean herself called Da Um Jeitinho.

Cimg0197_1 For those who wish to explore educational podcasting, our own awesome Steve Dembo, will take you on an adventure down the Web 2.0 podcasting highway during breakout-sessions following the morning keynote program.  If you have not checked out Steve’s Teach 42 Blog you will want to do so now as you have been missing one amazing educational technology experience!Steve Dembo and Michigan Field Manager Kristin Furdak Smart at the Midwest DEN Regional this past summer.

Registration is sponsored by the DEN and is free to DEN members.  Registration is limited to forty Wisconsin DEN members and 40 Illinois DEN members. Sorry, but this is a DEN only event – only DEN members may attend due to the limited attendance.

The Abbey has a limited number of hotel rooms available at a discounted rate for anyone interested in an overnight stay.  Call The Abbey and ask for the Discovery Educator Network room block by October 1st! 1-800-709-1326.

Wisconsin DEN members may also choose to attend the October 20 full day strand of Digital Storytelling and extend their experiences as a two-credit graduate level Digital Storytelling course.  (Additional Viterbo University graduate level credit hours on October 21, evening of 11/3 and 11/4 required attendance for required hours)
