Great webinar idea! Any suggestions/thoughts for getting Webex to work correctly on a mac? I tried last week on my ibook G4 and couldn’t get it to work/connect. Tried previously on my Macbook and that didn’t work either…

Thanks for making it late enough for us West Coasters too… 🙂

    Thanks!
    Kim

I couldn’t use the webex either on my Macbook Pro when I tried to listen to view Joe Brennan’s digital storytelling webinar. I was able to only call in and listen and then had to wait for it to be archived. Is there another tool that can be used that is mac friendly for webinars?

Thanks for doing this. I am going to try to make it. There are a few things I’d like to throw out there:
    1. When saving My Content, the interface where the screen allows you to choose which folders to save your content to is very unfriendly. I would like to see this area have buttons, thumbnails or some other way for teachers to see where they are saving their content.
    2. I realize this only applies to our district because we imported usernames with an @ symbol, but for some reason, when teachers try to change their passwords, they get a message that they cannot because the @ symbol is not an accepted character. We need teachers to be able to change their passwords, but not their usernames.
    3. The overall look and feel of unitedstreaming, since the upgrade has been very well received in my district. Teachers love it and feel they can navigate all of the great features of unitedstreaming much more easily. Thank you for taking the time to listen to your users.

I am looking forward to Wednesday’s webinar. Discovery is the greatest network because they listen to their teachers and make adjustments as needed! Thanks for all the wonderful things that you do for teachers and their students.

I have webexed on my older Mac (non-Intel) but don’t remember the issues. I just logged on and so far everything seems good. I’m using Firefox. Safari might have been an issue (certainly, Explorer on the Mac can be a problem). Maybe Joe Brennan will weigh in. He’s a Mac guy and he DID a webinar.
