Are your students stretching their creative talents to the max?
STAR DEN Classrooms across the United States and select countries are engaged in the 2006 National Poster Contest highlighting the theme of “Connect to a World of Learning.” Participating K-12 students are busily brainstorming their ideas, sketching, taking digital pictures, scanning images, and showing how they Connect to a World of Learning.
Eight winning entries (two per grade level range: K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and HS) will be honored by having their entry included on a special Discovery Education poster to be distributed nationally and be awarded prizes for their efforts.
The following questions may be used to spark student discussion and brainstorming of their digital image ideas.
What do you enjoy learning?
How do you learn?
Where is the best place to learn?
How does technology change what and how you learn?
What inspires you to learn more about the world?
The essential details on rules, image types & resolution, entry and release forms, and submission directions are found HERE in four documents on the Wisconsin Discovery Educator Network Blog.
