Calling All Keynotes!

MasscueIf you’ve never been to Sturbridge, MA, I highly recommend making the trip.  Especially in November when the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) Annual Technology Conference is taking place.  For the past two days, Dawn Strunk (New England Field Manager) and I have had a great time working with educators from all over New England, including many STAR Discovery Educators.

100_0492_1Dawn organized a series of well-attended workshops in our corporate room (New unitedstreaming, Digital Storytelling, Differentiated Instruction and 50 Ways to Use unitedstreaming) as well as hosting David Warlick’s Ed Tech Connect webinar yesterday.

100_0501Last night, we put a call out to all keynote speakers in the New England area and had a decent response 🙂  David Warlick, Deneen Frazier Bowen and Kathy Schrock joined us for a special DEN dinner.  As you can imagine, the conversation was incredible and everyone left with 40 new ideas, 17 new gadgets to buy, and a desire to return to the corporate room and figure out how we could chroma key ourselves into a Google Earth tour around Nova Scotia.

Looks like a **GREAT event** — it was also really fun to tap into David’s EdTech Webinar on November 15 and experience his session with the MASS CUE educators *virtually* here my home office in Wisconsin! That was a very valuable experience – a lot food for thought!

I attended the MassCUE conference and met Dawn, face to face. It is alwasy nice to see who you have been e-mailing. MassCUE this year was a great conference. With David Warlick, Will Richardson and a great performance from Deenen Fraizer Bowen. I certainly left with tons of new ideas and things to ponder.
