Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!  The South Florida DEN blog is up and running again and I am looking forward to all the wonderful things our DEN will be doing in 2007!

My name is Debbie Bohanan, nickname DD (Debbie Discovery) by Karen Seddon.  I will be continuing our blog and helping everyone to stay connected.  Guest bloggers will be featured periodically so if you have any information you would like to share, let me know and I will feature you in an upcoming blog.  I am the technology coach at Reedy Creek Elementary in Kissimmee, Florida and have been teaching since Nov. of 1991.  I taught fifth grade for one year, fourth grade for nine years, technology as a block class for four years and have been the technology coach for two years.  I love learning new things, especially in the world of technology.  It’s a great day when I can say I learned something new.

Our first item of business is FETC!  I hope many of you will be attending this wonderful conference.  The dates are Jan. 24-26 at the Orlando Convention Center.  I just found out that they have extended the online registration until Jan. 12th so there is still time to register without a late fee. www.fetc.org The conference is only $175 for three days and well worth it.  Bill Nye the Science Guy will be speaking on Wednesday afternoon.

Discovery is having a pre-conference event at Universal on Wednesday morning .  Bring your cameras and we can share pictures of the event with the rest of the group.

I have to pick up my two year old from daycare.  So long for now and I will be writing you again soon.  Please feel free to introduce yourself to the group too.  I am excited to be continuing the great work Karen started.

Thanks DD for getting South Florida on the blog again! Y’all have to know that DD is the perfect name for Debbie. I nicknamed her DD because she just loves Discovery and everything a connected community represents. Please come back often and support the South Florida DEN. Debbie will be very faithful about following up on the hopes and need in South Florida. I will definitely be at FETC. Hope to see you there!

    As always, I am
    Ubiquitously yours,
