Topic: Digital Storytelling has exploded on the
educational scene as a powerful tool to use in the classroom. It not only helps meet technology standards,
but promotes higher-level thinking skills and appeals to all types of learners. This webinar will explore how Digital Storytelling is used in classrooms across the country and will give examples of
student-produced stories that are changing the way we assess learning.

Who: Kay Teehan is a career educator and Media Specialist in Florida.  She has a BA in Education and MS in Educational Technology. She received certification from the National
Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 2002 in the area of Library/Media. She is presently a member of the Advisory Board for Channel One News, a nationally broadcasted daily current events and
news program directed at secondary students. She is one of 30 Florida Master Digital Educators who work with the Florida for Instructional Technology in conjunction with the Florida Department of
Education and University of South Florida to deliver cutting-edge technology skills instruction to educators all over the state of Florida. Kay has presented at state and national conventions on various technology topics including presentations at: Florida Educational Technology Conference, National Middle School Association Conference, Florida Association for Media Education Conference, National School Board Association Conference, the National Conference for National Board Certified Teachers, California’s TechED 2007 conference, and will be a presenter at Technology & Learning’s TECH FORUM in April 2007.
