The Discovery Educator Network is proud to host the Discovery Education American Film Institute (AFI) Training in Dallas, Texas on March 23rd and 24th. Seating is limited to 30 spots and they are filling very quickly.
What is the Discovery Education Film Institute Training?
A 2 day intensive leadership workshop with a focus on the process and tools for using digital film making in a standards-based classroom environment with the intent of increasing understanding of core subject matter. Designed for K-12 teachers of all subjects, school media specialists, lead teachers, school-site practitioners and facilitators interested in 21st century literacy. This hands-on workshop experience aligns directly with AFI‘s Lights, Camera, Education! curriculum now available on unitedstreaming.
On behalf of the CA DEN members who completed this course, it’s a training you won’t want to miss! And added bonus to this event is that it is centered around the AFI Dallas International Film Festival and all attendees will receive a special pass to one of the many screenings.
So if you will be in the area and are interested in hearing more, please contact Jannita at Jannita_Demian@discovery.com. Only a few more seats are available!
