Once in a Lifetime Opportunity for STAR DEs

Planet_earth_1 Witness the world’s most elusive creatures and unforgettable places for the first time.  Filmed in over 200 locations, some for the last time.  Planet Earth is a high definition television event five years in the making.

As a STAR Discovery Educator, you have a chance to be one of the first people in the world to see it.

On Wednesday, March 14, 2007, the DEN will take 10 lucky STAR Discovery Educators to an exclusive screening and reception celebrating the premiere of Planet Earth at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City (note: all travel expenses are the responsibility of the STAR DE).  The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with the screening at 7:15 p.m.  The night will conclude with a dessert reception at 8:30 p.m.

If you are a STAR Discovery Educator who is interested and available to attend this exclusive event, post a comment to this blog entry by Monday, March 5th at 5 pm (EST)  that includes:

  • Full Name
  • Job Title
  • School
  • Address
  • Email

Ten lucky STAR Discovery Educators will be selected and notified on Tuesday, March 6, 2007.

PLEASE…only post your information if you can absolutely, without a doubt, attend the event on March 14.

Good luck and please contact me with any questions.

Please remove my name from the list. I just found out that I have to attend something else that evening at my school.
For those of you that get selected to go, have a great time. I am sure it will be a fabulous evening!

I am so bummed. New administrator in my building and I cannot guarantee that I will be able to attend anymore. Good luck to you all!

Since finding out that travel expenses includes hotel, I have decided that this trip is out of my budget at the time. Please remove my name ever so gently. I’m really bummed!
