As we hop into spring (although that snow this morning sure didn’t feel like spring!), there are some opportunities and deadlines I want to remind you of …
First, the DEN National Institutes this summer promise to be a wonderful opportunity for all of us. The deadline to register for one of these is this Friday, the 13th. It could be your lucky day — head over to the DEN National Blog for more details.
Second, the deadline to submit proposals for TCEA is Sunday, April 15. Head over to TCEAs information page for details.
Third, the weekly EdTechConnect webinars kicked off with the ever-popular Hall Davidson, who taught us many of the things we can do with Google Earth in our classrooms. As usual, the webinar was very informative, and we also learned many things through the collaborative participant chat. To see the remaining weekly webinar topics and to register, visit the EdTechConnect registration page.
Last, don’t forget to report your spring training. In order to maintain STAR DE status, you must report at least three events per year — but don’t stop there! It is important for Discovery Education to know just how far-reaching the DEN is. Report every event so that they’ll have an accurate record of the work we are doing in the field. Visit the DEN Event Reporting Site to report your events now! Let’s drive up that spring training number in a big Texas way, y’all!
