Planet Earth – Behind the Scenes with Dr. Penny Allen

Over 1000 students and teachers attended the Planet Earth webinar and were treated to an incredible behind the scenes glimpse at the groundbreaking series.  Dr. Allen — joining the webinar from London — shared her many incredible experiences
filming the world’s most fascinating animals and habitats.

If you weren’t able to attend the webinar live, then consider yourself lucky because we got it recorded and are making it available to you here as a podcast!

During the call, we had a little impromptu caption contest for this photo.   Among the favorites were ""I don’t know, Vern, it was here when I woke up this morning." (Elaine Plybon,
Irving ISD, Irving, TX) and "Who laid that egg?" (Debbie Bohanan’s class, Reedie
Elementary School, Kissimmee, FL)

Thanks this was great. It was also a learning experience. I was not able to get Skype to work even though I have used it for other things in the past. I ended up with 30 students on the floor listening with the speaker phone of my cell phone. Live and learn. Time to get a class phone with a loud speaker! We enjoyed it even with the challenges.

Thanks again! I would do something like this with my class another time!
