iQuiz Maker

If you’re even REMOTELY thinking about how mobile devices can be used in education, then this will have you giddy as a schoolgirl.

Via The Bionic Teacher, iTunes is now offering a game called iQuiz that allows people to download and take quizzes on their iPods.  By using the free software iQuiz Maker, you can create the quizzes for free!  Yes, a windows version is coming soon.

Way too cool.  Someone remind me again why we shouldn’t be using that in schools?

Hey Steve. iQuiz is VERY cool and easy to create quizzes. However, I can’t figure out how to make it synch to my iPod. It’s works fine on my Mac and I’ve even imported other quizzes. I’ve synched with iTunes but don’t see it anywhere? Does anyone know my missing step? Can’t wait to show this off with a projector!

    As always, I am
    Ubiquitously yours,

    Hey Steve,

I answered my own question! I had to purchased iQuiz for 99 cents in the iTunes store. Once I downloaded it all the games I created on my desktop synched to me iPod. Way cool and worth 99 cents and more!

ok – here’s my thoughts about iPods in the classroom – it’s a fairly high priced item for relatively narrow useage – what’s the point? I can’t even get the US movies to synch to my iPod (yes I have a video iPod). I can’t see letting kids use their own iPods and having to deal with all the issues of individual synching/etc. So yes there is high Gee Whiz factor with iPods – I just haven’t been sold yet on the practicality in the classroom.

Aaahhhh I must not have made this clear. I would never reccomend that a school buy their students iPods. HOWEVER. If your students have iPods in their backpacks already, then why not take advantage of them?
