Plug and Play Continues

Well, Plug and Play 2.0, Day One:

We all piled into our respective coaches to head out on our field trips: The Reid Park Zoo,  Pima Air Park, Sonoran Desert Museum, Tohono Chul (botanical park)…we took video and stills to come back and create projects.
My group went to Tohono Chul- we got some great lizard footage and a great "bit" with a very animated rubber rattler…we’re making a "movie" with iMovie and Garage Band, while other sessions are creating Web pages, and iPod multimedia projects.
Tucson got a wonderful rain burst later on- and it started out as a cool, overcast day, good for us being outside a few hours.
We returned to the resort, got some info on iTunes, iPhoto, and Tuesday we’ll continue with iMovie and a keynote from Tony Vincent, working on our multimedia project at day’s end.
The resort here at Westward Look is very cool- networking and meeting folks from AZ is so very WORTH the "price" for the camp, too!
I believe the camp cost is $400 for the week, and the resort is very well-suited for a week away, or a small vacation for the family (some brought theirs for a small added charge).

This is only the second year of this "Plug and Play" by the AZ K-12 Center – a group doing some wonderful training for educators in Arizona!

Check out the opportunities available through the AZ K-12 Center – like Discovery, many of their "staff" here at the camp are still classroom teachers/tech folks still in their respective public education districts in central AZ.
