Today there are seven billion humans on planet Earth, nine of whom have walked on another world.  IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON is, in their own words, the story of the men who journeyed to, and walked on, the moon.  One of the defining passages of American history, the Apollo space program literally brought the aspirations of a nation to another place.

On Wednesday, September 5, the DEN will take 10 STAR Discovery Educators and their guests, to an exclusive screening and reception celebrating the premiere of IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON (please note: all travel expenses are the responsibility of the STAR DE).  Hosted at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, the reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with the screening at 7:15 p.m.  The night will conclude with a reception at 9:15 p.m.

If you are a STAR Discovery Educator who is interested and available to attend this exclusive event, post a comment to this blog entry by Monday, August 6 at 5 pm (EST) that includes:

  • Full Name
  • Job Title
  • School
  • Address
  • Email
  • Phone

Ten STAR Discovery Educators will be selected and notified on Tuesday, August 7, 2007.  PLEASE…only post your information if you can absolutely, without a doubt, attend the event on September 5.

Good luck and please contact me with any questions.
