DESC Science Institute Kicks Off in Valley Forge

100_2550Tonight the Discovery Education Science Connection Summer Institute commenced with educators from nine different states making the trek to Valley Forge, PA.  We spent the evening getting to know each other better and gearing up for DESC workshops in the morning.

Here’s what a few attendees have to say so far:

Three undisclosed participants (mostly from Michigan) say, "The King of Prussia mall is awesome!"

STAR DE Janet Hallstrom is very excited about the agenda and loves the group that has gathered here.

Ben Smith says, "It has been a fun group of people so far.  I am really excited about working with the Camden-touring GA crew."

Much more to come tomorrow!

Learning, networking, laughing and great fun are all apt descriptors for the Valley Forge Science Connection institute. I have been to many training, but never have I learned so much , or had so much fun. If you are ever in the position that you can attend one of these institutes make sure to take advantage of them.
I wanted to thank Lance, Bob, Ben and Jared for a great job. Emma, Amanda, Andrea, Chris,JB, Adam and the rest of the pirates hope Mr. Wizard was great and so is the end project on celebrity look alikes. I am inspired to go back to my classroom and use Discovery Science Connection, pod casting, and all the other great
techniques we learned. Thanks again for the opportunity and the fellowship.
