Earlier this week we held a webinar celebrating the growth of the Discovery Educator Network over the past two years. It was a great opportunity to reflect, share our successes and discuss the future. One of the things we discussed was the recent explosive growth of the DEN. The number of DEN members increases daily and through professional development, networking activities, partner promotions, etc. we continue to provide resources and benefits to those members. Every day we hear stories of the impact DEN has on teaching and learning and ultimately on the students we serve. As a result of this growth, Discovery is once again demonstrating its commitment to education and investing in sustainable ways to support and grow the Educator Network. As such, we are excited to announce the newest addition to our DEN team.
Kim Randall – A STAR Discovery Educator and Apple Distinguished Educator, Kim began her education career as an elementary teacher at Isidore Newman School and Arlington Public Schools. She has spent the past three years teaching elementary aged students in California at St. Andrew’s School.
Among other responsibilities, Kim will be coordinating leadership council activities, providing targeted professional development and working with state and regional partners to further build the DEN community. We are excited that Discovery is committed to the DEN and is supporting our growth. Kim will join our current team of Coni Rechner, Hall Davidson, Lance Rougeux, Jannita Demian, Steve Dembo, Matt Monjan, Brad Fountain and me who remain passionate and dedicated to supporting teachers across the country.
Please join me in welcoming Kim to the team!
