OVERVIEW OF EVENT: The goal of this event is to demonstrate the importance of instructional technology to those at the highest levels of state government. Selected school teams will demonstrate a school project to legislators, business leaders and the general public in the State Capitol Building Rotunda on May 7, 2008. Demonstrations will be scheduled to take place in either a morning or afternoon time slot (approx. 8:45am-Noon or Noon-3pm). SELECTION OF SCHOOLS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT: Preference will be given to projects that demonstrate improved teaching and diversity in student learning styles. Selected teams will represent a balanced distribution between legislative districts, grade levels and curricular areas. Our goal is to select at least one team from every legislative district (representative & senatorial) in the state.
WHO SHOULD APPLY: A team of four (1 teacher and 3 students or 1 teacher, 1 administrator and 2 students) to demonstrate how you are currently using technology in your classroom and how it enhances learning.
TECH events are not only fun but memorable experiences for participants and observers alike. We hope you will apply to participate in TECH 2008.
