What an amazing event!!  SCIcon exceeded everyone’s expectations in turnout, community involvement, and enhancing science instruction.

We had approximately 500 individuals attend virtually including attendees from Australia, Belgium, and Hungary.  An additional 350 educators participated in one of 16 DEN Leadership Council in-person events taking place across the country.

Educators in attendance received a wealth of new instructional ideas for integrating science across the curriculum ranging from new ways to utilize Discovery Education streaming videos to layers within Google Earth.  Educators were also treated to a special presentation on climate change from Julene Reed, a DEN Star Educator from TN who has spent time in the arctic as well as with Jane Goodall.

All of the presentations were recorded and are available for your viewing pleasure at the SCIcon page of this blog.  We have also made each of the PowerPoint presentation available for download as well from the SCIcon page.  A special thanks to all of those educators who took time to join us and to all of the DEN Leadership Councils who hosted in-person events.
