It is really difficult to keep up with Discovery because its reach sometimes exceeds my grasp. Now, however, being a Discovery fan just got easier (at least for me). All things Discovery are not on Facebook, so become a fan. The newest Discovery entry is Discovery Student Advetures, and you want to become a fan. Here’s why.
Teachers (grades K-12) and parents of students ages 10-18 are eligible to win a Discovery Student Adventures “Ultimate Summer Field Trip” to Italy and Greece just by becoming a Fan on Facebook!
Go to http://www.facebook.com/discoverystudentadventures , join our fan club and you will be entered to win! Plus, increase your chances of winning with every friend you invite. (Now there’s a challenge for you).
Up to 5 trips will be awarded, two for teachers and three for students. Travel dates to Italy and Greece are July 5-19, 2010. Winners will be announced by March 15th.
If you are not following the Discovery Educator Network, you might want to become a fan. This site is a virtual treasure of information, an aggregate of all things wonderful from that great group of educators and your best resources–each other.
Yet another new entry from Discovery is the Siemens STEM Academy, anchored by Patti Duncan. When the STEM Academy website was launched, it wasn’t long after that it surfaced on Facebook, making it yet another great site for fan membership. I’m guessing that there are more great Discovery ventures on Facebook, and after PETE&C, I promise to start looking for them so we can bring them to you. If you know of other Discovery sites on Facebook, please add a comment to the Discovery Facebook Wall Wisher.
