MASS Day of Discovery on May 22

Connecticut wants to support our neighbors in Massachusetts on their Day of Discovery on May 22, 2010. Specifically for New England educators, this exciting and interactive day of professional development will highlight creative ways to engage students and invigorate curriculum using 21st century digital resources. The day is from 9:00-3:30 at Xavierian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA.  Space is limited to the first 300 registrants. Lunch is provided. To reserve your seat, visit http://tinyurl.com/MADoD. We hope to have Connecticut educators participate either real time or virtually. The keynote speaker, a renown education blogger, is Steve Dembo. We are happy to be able to have Steve presenting in our area since he is so knowledgeable. As a testament to Steve’s presentation abilities, I’ve been attending some webinars when Steve has been presenting technical information about blogging and he is so understandable that my husband, not an educator, finds them interesting and worthwhile. Throughout the day you can choose from multiple workshops, win prizes, and connect with other K-12 educators and experts. Check our blog again for more updates and information on this regional event.

I signed up to go. I can hardly wait. I just spent this Saturday, April 24, 2010 participating in the Spring Virtual Conference that Steve hosted. It was awesome, and my only regret was the lack of a lunch or bathroom break. I am looking forward to meeting Steve in person and connecting with other New England educators.
