DEN Geocaching Day in Charleston

On Saturday May 22, your SC Leadership Council wants YOU to join us for a day of geocaching fun in historic downtown Charleston!

Last year’s geocaching day was a great time for learning and meeting DEN members and STARS from all over the state at West Columbia’s Riverwalk. So not to disappoint those of us who enjoyed the beautiful surroundings Riverwalk had to offer, we are heading to the coast, y’all! Come on down (or up) to the gorgeous sites of downtown Chucktown.

Beginning at 9:30 AM that morning, our group will meet at Charleston’s Waterfront Park (see map below) by the famous Pineapple Fountain. Please bring a GPS receiver if you have one, but no worries if you’re new to geocaching- we will have additional receivers available to share, as well as a quick hands-on “how-to” from our LC Chair, Donna Teuber. Lunch will be provided and we will wrap up our event by 12 PM so that you can enjoy the rest of the day seeing the sites of downtown Charleston.

Are you in? GREAT! If you would like to join us, please register here. Space is limited, so register early. If you would like to learn more about geocaching, sign up to attend one of the webinars being offered by DEN STARS this month leading up to the event. Check out Geocaching Day 2010 on the national blog for dates and times of the next webinar.

Got questions? Leave a comment below or send us an email (just click on the SC DEN Leadership Council tab above). We can’t wait to hear from you!
