Thanks Discovery and Philippe Cousteau!

Williams Elementary students were treated to a great presentation by Philippe that included sneak peeks of upcoming shows, stories about how he got into his ocean studies, and lots of conversation about what is going on in the ocean and how it affects us on land. Students asked him questions and many got to have their picture taken with him. Philippe spent the day at Williams and visited with classrooms and had lunch with a number of teachers as well.

Because of that opportunity, Williams students were able to see live images from an aquarium in Seattle, Washington and then learn more about their real connections to the Gulf of Mexico and the oceans around them from Philippe in person.
