The Education Week Teacher Book Club

Be one of the first to join the all-new Education Week Teacher Book Club.  The discussion begins July 12th, so check out the Book Backgrounder, and start your reading!

The Education Week Teacher Book Club is a destination for teacher-leaders and administrators to discover and discuss important books on hot-button education topics.  In our online forum discussions, members can engage directly with the author and with colleagues from across the world.

Our first featured book:

The Hardest Questions Aren’t on the Test: Lessons From an Innovative Urban School

by Linda F. Nathan (Beacon Press)

The Hardest Questions Aren’t on the Test delves into how high school principal Linda Nathan and her teaching colleagues have created a thriving learning culture at their diverse school by attending closely to students’ individual needs, setting high expectations, fostering creativity, and facing challenges with openness and honesty.  The school’s remarkable success has come, in large part, from asking the right questions of parents, students, and staff.  See what those questions are and how you might put them to use.
