The annual South Carolina EdTech Conference is just around the corner!
The conference is managed by the South Carolina Association for Educational Technology (SCAET), and will take place October 27,28 and 29, in Myrtle Beach. Once again this year, the Myrtle Beach Convention Center will host many of SC’s technology educators. According to the EdTech website, partner members of SCAET this year include: The South Carolina State Department of Education, South Carolina Partnership for Distance Education, Technology Services, South Carolina Educational Television, Association for Applied Interactive Multimedia (AAIM), South Carolina Association of School Librarians, BellSouth, Avaya, South Carolina Budget and Control Board- Chief Information Office, the University of South Carolina School of Library and Information Science, and College of Charleston School of Education. Approximately 1200 K-12 and higher education teachers, administrators, technology and media specialists, business leaders, legislators and Department of Education personnel.
It’s always a great time to network with DEN members across the state, but also an opportunity to learn from fellow educational technology enthusiasts and professionals, or to visit the exhibit hall to see some of your favorite vendors and organizations. You’ll need to register, of course, so click here to visit the EdTech website for more information.
The SC Leadership Council will host an event during EdTech, so check the blog again soon for updated information. And if the chance to meet up with fellow DEN members isn’t enough of a reason to head to the beach, then check out this year’s Keynote speakers.
