Ed Tech News You Can Use

yolink Search Enhancement Tool

Have you heard of  ‘yolink‘? yolink is a search enhancement tool that make searching easier and produces more relevant results.

To use yolink, you first need to download and install the browser plugin. yolink is powered by Googleand the browser plugin allows you to preview search results via the plugin. yolink generates search results in context and shows the keywords searched highlighted. This saves time and helps students preview a webpage

to determine the relevancy of the search results. I went directly to the yolink website to conduct the search for the DEN and pasted the screenshot to the right.  Click on the picture to enlarge the view to see the details of the yolink search result.

Just as you can create a custom Google search engine on a blog or website, you can create a custom yolink search engine widget. (We have one on our Classroom 2.0 LIVE website.) You can also use the paid feature of yolink to search your Windows PC desktop. Install the plugin or visit the yolink website and take yolink for a test drive. What are you waiting for?
