Fall Virtual Conference at Chief Poundmaker

Canadian DEN STARS enjoying some coffee and sweets!

Our DEN FAll Virtual Conference experience started at our favorite Canadian coffee shop. We needed a ‘pep me up” for the early start of the day! Thanks STARS for meeting me and driving with me to your school. If I didn’t have you with me I would have never found it!

Chief Poundmaker School is located on a First Nations Reservation; Poundmaker Cree Nation near Cut Knife, SK. What a beautiful location for a school and a far drive for me from Saskatoon!  I couldn’t be luckier to experience visiting Poundmaker Cree Nation. There were even wild horses roaming the reservation. I found this guy right outside the front entrance of the school. A big surprise for a city girl like me.

The day was full of laughs, learning and sharing!  Patricia St. Denis, Sarah Thompson and Dawn Peters shared their experiences with using Edmodo in the classroom. Patricia, Chief Poundmaker’s Principal, encourages all teachers to use Edmodo Calendar and other features. We ended the day taking pictures for the costume contest!

Thanks Tim! It is really fun to put together an Animoto and encourage everyone to try! What a neat way to share the virtual conference experience!
