January 2011 Web 2.0 News You Can Use

Happy new year everyone! I wanted to share three new web tools with you that were recently shared on Twitter/Plurk or Classroom 2.0 LIVE!. The first tool is Post Post shared by Lucy Gray.  The following is taken from the Post Post website:

PostPost is a news aggregator for the social generation, and collates the articles, videos, and photos your friends have found interesting enough to post. It features advanced search technology powered by yolink where users can search deeply within all of their news articles across disparate sources.

Post Post takes the content shared on Facebook and compiles it into one webpage where you can follow, respond, or share the resources/information easily and post it to your Facebook page.

Another resource is FlickSquare.
If you participate in FourSquare, FlickSquare allows you to quickly and easily post images of the locations you check-in from on FourSquare to your Flickr account.

The last resource I want to share with you is quietube. quietube allows you to share a youtube video without the comments or related videos showing on the video page. quietube allows you to safely share and show videos?? from online sources. Currently quietube supports videos from YouTubeBBC iPlayerViddler, and Vimeo.

If you are a DEN STAR in Texas, you can read the monthly newsletter for January 2011 at http://www.sites.google.com/site/texasdenlc/monthly-newsletter. Be sure to check it out each month. The site is still in construction so check back regularly for updates.
