New Texas STAR honored as Golden Apple finalist

During each TCEA conference, the best and brightest educators in Texas are recognized at the Golden Apple Awards ceremony. This year, one of our own Texas STARs, Andrea Keller, was honored as one of three finalists for the Teacher of the Year award.

Andrea is a special education teacher in Irving. She utilizes technology every day in her classroom in order to engage her special-needs students. Andrea also speaks at local and state conferences on topics related to assistive technology.

We are very proud of Andrea for her hard work and dedication to advancing the relevant use of technology in her classroom! Seen here with with Dr. Lodge McCammon and yes, Barbie, Andrea is also co-founder of a network called “Sisterhood of the Traveling Macs“. The Sisters obtain pictures of Computer Engineer Barbie as they travel with technology.
