The AmeriDEN Idol

The AmeriDEN Idol event on March 30th was incredibly entertaining and informative. South Carolina STARs came together to share some innovative and creative gadgets and tools for the classroom. Steven Tyler thought all the presentations were “beautiful man”, Randy “was down with it Dawg”, and Ellen just loved everybody. Checkout the list of things shared.

Lesson Ideas:

Content trailers– So what is a Content Trailer? Very simply, a Content Trailer is a short, 2- to 3-minute, media-rich experience from which a point of inquiry can begin. Check out the link for tons of content trailers for all levels and subject matter.

Talking Tom and Gina the Giraffe– use these iTunes Apps to encourage students to participate in class, practice fluency skills, or motivate students to present in front of a group. Funny, entertaining, and the coolest thing going for the iPod/iPad.

Karate Dawgs– original animated videos created by one of South Carolina’s own educators. Check out Daniels character education videos available for download through your SC Streamline account. Simply search Karate Dawgs.
