115 Music on the River
New River State Park, Laurel Springs, NC

Saturday, May 21 (depart Raleigh at 7 am)–Sunday, May 22, 2011

Cost: $70 (includes transportation from Raleigh, canoes, most meals, basic camping gear)

Canoe the New River, a National Wild and Scenic River in northwestern North Carolina. Look for spring wildflowers along the riverbanks, explore the lives of salamanders in and around the river and be immersed in an exceptional river ecosystem. Bring an instrument, your voice or just your ears as we enjoy a campfire and explore ways to use natural history themed music as an educational tool. The Museum can provide most camping gear, but you will need a sleeping bag and pad.
