Celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day

It’s a DEN tradition that we celebrate the official Teacher Appreciation Day with some sort of Discovery-themed promo, benefit, extraordinary offer, and the like.  So in 2011, as Discovery Education helps teachers go beyond the textbook, what better way to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day than to explore Discovery Education’s groundbreaking DE Science Techbook for students and teachers.  School districts across the country have been going digital and deciding to use the DE Science Techbook as their primary curricular resource for K-8 Science instruction and now all STARs have until July 1, 2011 to check it out.

STARs simply have to log into the DEN site and click on the link for teacher appreciation week offers.  You will see the special usernames and passwords we have created for you.

We have a whole series of webinars to help you get started. Register for one today at: http://links.discoveryeducation.com/sciencetechbook.

As an added bonus, we have an amazing offer for STARs who want to show us how they would use the DE Science Techbook in their classroom.

Option 1

Create a video of you and your students using the DE Science Techbook in the classroom and submit it to us by Monday, June 6, 2011 (5 PM ET).

One very lucky STAR will be selected to receive an iPad2!

All STARs who submit a video entry will receive a copy of the Shark Week 20th Anniversary DVD set.

Option 2

Post a blog about your experience using the DE Science Techbook.

Then let us know you posted by completing this form: http://links.discoveryeducation.com/STARtechbookBlog.

All STARs who post a blog about their experience with the DE Science Techbook will also receive a copy of the Shark Week 20th Anniversary DVD set.
