Top 10 Reasons To Start Using Your DEN Blog

One of the perks of being a STAR Discovery Educator is that you get your own personal DEN blog hosted by Discovery Education.  But there are lots of places to get a free blog, why would you want to make this one your home on the web?  I can think of TEN reasons for you to do it!

  1. Some schools block Blogger.  Others block Edublogs. NOBODY blocks Discovery Education!
  2. You like to customize things?  We’ve got over 100 themes for you to choose from.
  3. See your posts get featured on the front page of the Global blog under the Individual Posts category.
  4. It’s one of the easiest ways to share what you’re learning with other DEN members.
  5. Personal blog?  Class blog?  Photo blog?  It’s up to you!  You can use your DEN blog any way you like.
  6. Some blog sites restrict the amount of space you can use for videos, images and files.  We don’t.
  7. You just might win a DENny Award!  We have an annual category for best individual STAR blogger 🙂
  8. You’ve just recently realized that you can’t express yourself completely in 140 characters or less.
  9. Gives you a handy place to put your STAR Discovery Educator badge.
  10. Because the DEN rocks and you want to share it with the world!
To access your STAR blog, all you need to do is log in to the DEN Community site and click on the My Blog link.
