We are well into October and the school year is moving quickly!  I find as an educator this is the perfect time of year to update my personal and professional learning communities.  Fall is probably the busiest time for most educators but a perfect opportunity to add to a network of educators to build resources that will carry you throughout the year.  Connecting with people through Social Networks such as Twitter is a great way to help build that community. On Twitter I’m able to get quick but interesting and valuable resources and meet and converse with great teachers and learners!  Social bookmarking is also a great way to organizing.  I use Diigo for bookmarking but there are so many to choose from.  For me, networking of any kind is key to staying current as an educator. While I stay busy networking for my professional growth I have found many valuable resources for my personal growth such as triathlons, travel, cooking, and more!  I would love to hear some of your networking ideas!
