Got a Minute? Join the DEN @ ICE

The ICE Conference is coming soon and if you’re attending the conference or will be in the area, you must come to the DEN social event on Wednesday, February 29th.  Yes, that’s Leap Day and Leap Day needs to be celebrated and what a better way than with the DEN.

The DEN (Discovery Educator Network) invites you to kick off the 2012 ICE Conference and celebrate Leap Day by joining fellow educators for a fun pre-conference networking opportunity.  Stop by from 5:00-7:00 (immediately following the Exhibit Hall Kick-off) to network with and meet new colleagues, meet the Illinois DEN Leadership Council, learn about the Discovery Educator Network, and test your skills to win prizes in several “Minute to Win It” type games.  You’ll have ONE MINUTE to try and complete several challenges such as “This Blows,” “Noodling Around,” “Spare Me,” “Johnny Applestack,” and “Stick To It“.  The more challenges you complete, the more points you earn.  If you’re successful, you’ll walk away with some great Discovery Educator Network goodies.  If not, well, you’ll at least have a good time networking and meeting new colleagues.  Drinks and appetizers will be served.

I’ll actually be at ICE this year, but the travel time will put my ETA after this event. I’m sure I’ll find some networking time during my stay. Have a fun and successful event!
