DEN Geocaching Day

This weekend (May 19, 2012) I had the chance to participate in the DEN Geocaching Day in Dallas, Texas.  Laura Gonzalez set up the FANTASTIC event in our area!

What is Geocaching you ask?

“Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.”  To find out  more information check out the website on Geocaching

Laura did a great job getting it all set up, but DEN did a fantastic job of providing us with lunch and providing us with a DEN Trackable.  We found some great spots to have photo ops!  We started out at Union Station, made it to Dealey Plaza, and geocaching around the Dallas Morning News Area.   It was great to hang out with fellow stars and even the new DEN Guru Elaine Plybon!  I can’t wait to geocache more and maybe even do a little more planking!  Did you geocache on DENgeocaching day?  Do you Geocache?

This is an awesome concept and one that helps friends and families spend quality time together. We are discovering what is geocaching in Australia and having a ball. Jamie
