National Digital Education Perspective Webinar

State and National Perspectives on the Digital Transformation of Education:

A Conversation with Gov. Bev Perdue and Gov. Bob Wise

Wednesday September 26th 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (ET)

I received this invitation through  The Alliance for Excellent Education.  This Webinar is being sponsored by both the Alliance and the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation.  Because we DEN-ovators are pushing our own limits on digital integration and innovation, I thought there would be many of us interested in participating in this webinar.

On Wednesday, September 26, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. (ET), two national leaders will discuss the future of education and strategies for supporting schools.
North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue will advocate for investing in innovative education solutions to prepare students to compete in the twenty-first-century global economy.

Bob Wise, president of the Alliance for Excellent Education and former governor of West Virginia, will discuss the three “Ts”—teachers, technology, and time—and how they are essential to developing a comprehensive digital learning strategy necessary to boost learning outcomes for all students regardless of their geography or socioeconomic status.

Both speakers will share insights on advancing the uses of technology to enhance education. Glenn Kleiman, executive director of the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, will moderate the discussion.
