Recently we announced the formal organization of the hashtag, #DENchat as a weekly Twitter discussion around topics of interest to members of the DEN. Tomorrow, February 28th, is the launch date. We will hold the discussion from 8:00 to 9:00 PM EST. Mark your calendars!
And, like all things DEN, this is a collaborative effort among passionate professionals. We have a core group of DEN Leadership Council members who have signed on to lead the discussion from week to week. Our “leader” is Lisa Parisi. Lisa is an elementary teacher, author, Google Certified Teacher, SMART Exemplary Educator, ambassador for several educational websites, and EdTechTalk host. And that’s just from her Twitter bio! Me? I’m a blogger. And we have a plethora of other LC members to help us out!
Twitter chats like this center around 1 to 4 questions each week, and the conversation takes on a life of its own. We have decided to limit our discussions to one question for the present. We want to start simple in order to engage DEN members (and others) who may find Twitter chats a bit overwhelming.
So, tomorrow we dip our toes in the water with a simple question (or at least it appears simple on the surface): What is the DEN?
Now you have a heads up. Think hard. Hone your answer down to 140 characters or less. And we’ll see you online tomorrow night!
