DEN March Madness – Entry #12 – Symbaloo

California DEN STAR and LC Member Katie Warren loves SymbalooEDU and we’re adding it as another entry in DEN March Madness.  SymbalooEDU is a great way to organize and share your favorite parts of the web with others, including your students.  You can organize your teaching resources in one place!

According to Katie, “SymbalooEDU makes curating websites simple and easy to share. Every site and/or tool is on one simple webmix and you click a tile to go to the site you want. You create your own tiles with either a default style or add your own images to make each tile individual. So simple to use, why didn’t I think of it?”

We can’t sharing this awesome tool without showing a few examples.  This example, shared by Katie and created by NY DEN STAR Nancy Sharoff, shares resources from a presentation at DENSI in 2011.

We used this example at my old school and used it as the homepage on each computer in the lab.
